A video-centric multitasking system built from scratch — originating from a simple observation that existing mobile multitasking fails to reflect the context between what users are actually doing. Refined through four rounds of user testing.

We defined six everyday scenarios where video and a second task compete for the same screen, then built a system to let them coexist.

Multitasking on mobile is growing — but the UI hasn't caught up with how people actually switch between tasks.

Mobile screens are naturally limited, making multitasking with video — demanding both visual and auditory focus — a challenge. Unlike Android which offers Split View and PiP, iOS only provides PiP functionality.

For audiobook-like content with minimal visuals, the screen isn't necessary. But sometimes I just want lyrics or to skip tracks.
